FOSBA came to life in 2005, just a year after Sala Baï School began its journey. At that time, Sala Baï reached out to the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, a widely respected institution, for guidance on refining its curriculum. The collaboration sparked an idea among the Blue Mountains School’s owners—they rallied their friends and industry peers to support Sala Baï. From there, FOSBA grew into something remarkable.
Over these twenty years, FOSBA has become more than just a support group. It has become a close-knit community, bound by shared experiences of fundraising, professional collaboration, and friendship. Members regularly come together not just to plan events but to celebrate their collective efforts and the impact they've made. Visits to Sala Baï School have also been a highlight, where members witness firsthand the dedication and transformative work happening on the ground.
